Departing Marrakech

Morocco Tours from Marrakech

Marrakech is where most of our journeys begin — and where the road south towards the Atlas and the Sahara starts.

We operate 23 journeys from Marrakech: 13 desert routes, 2 longer circuits and 8 day trips.

From the red city the High Atlas is an hour away, Aït Ben Haddou half a day, and the Merzouga dunes a full day and a half. That makes Marrakech the natural starting point for a Sahara trip, whether you return here or continue one-way to Fes or Tangier.

If you only have a day, the Atlas valleys, Essaouira, Ourika and the Ouzoud waterfalls are all within reach and back by evening.

Frequently asked

Do you collect us from our riad in Marrakech?

Yes. Tours start at your accommodation in Marrakech, or at the airport on the circuits that begin with an arrival transfer. The pick-up point is listed on each tour page.

How long do I need to reach the desert from Marrakech?

Three days at a minimum for a round trip to Merzouga. Four or five days makes the driving more comfortable and leaves more time in the dunes and the valleys.

Can I finish somewhere other than Marrakech?

Yes. Several routes run one-way from Marrakech to Fes or to Tangier, and any route can be discussed before you travel.
