How Many Days in Morocco? 7, 10 and 14-Day Itineraries
Morocco is bigger than it looks on the map. Here is how much you can comfortably see in 7, 10 or 14 days.

Most first trips to Morocco try to fit in too much. Distances between the big sights are long, and the best moments — a slow lunch in an Atlas village, an evening in a riad — need time. Use these outlines as a starting point.
The short answer
Seven days covers Marrakech, the desert and Fes at a steady pace. Ten days adds the north or more breathing room. Fourteen days lets you see most of the country without rushing.
7 days: imperial cities and the Sahara
- Marrakech: two nights to settle in and explore the medina
- Across the High Atlas to the valleys of the south
- A night in the Merzouga dunes
- Through the Middle Atlas to Fes for two nights
This is a full week. Expect several long driving days in the middle; a private driver makes them far easier.
10 days: adding the north
- Start in Casablanca, Tangier or Marrakech
- Chefchaouen, the blue city of the Rif
- Fes and nearby Meknes and Volubilis
- The Sahara via Merzouga
- The south and the High Atlas back to Marrakech
14 days: Morocco at an easy pace
Two weeks lets you combine the imperial cities, the north, the desert and the coast — for example ending with a few days in Essaouira — with rest days built in.
Count travel days honestly
Every change of base costs time. Fewer stops, with two nights in each, usually feel better than a new hotel every night.

FAQ
Is 5 days enough for Morocco?
Five days works for Marrakech plus a short desert trip, or for one city and nearby day trips. It is not enough to cross the country comfortably.
Which city should I fly into?
Marrakech, Casablanca, Fes and Tangier all work. Flying into one and out of another avoids backtracking.
Can a longer tour be customised?
Yes. Our private tours can be adjusted in length, pace and stops to suit you.
